DÅCTA, or the official bilingual name Doktorandföreningen vid Åbo Akademi – Doctoral Researcher Association at Åbo Akademi University, aims to be a common forum for all doctoral researchers at Åbo Akademi University. The association was founded in March 2020, after a year worth of background work by a group of engaged doctoral researchers.

What is DÅCTA?

The association welcomes all doctoral researchers at Åbo Akademi University as its members, regardless of faculty, language, employment, funding or geographical location.

The goal of DÅCTA is to create a community for social and professional networking between doctoral researchers at the university. With this social community doctoral researchers can get to know each other, share knowledge and experiences, discuss practical matters concerning PhD work, raise awareness on issues related to PhD work, improve personal resources and well-being and get together around topics of current interest.
