Pecha Kucha Workshop

Pecha kucha (Japanese for “chitchat”) is a presentation format where the presenter shows 20 slides for 20 seconds each. Similar to a lightning talk or an elevator pitch it’s an increasingly common format at academic conferences and a great way to introduce your audience to your research topic.

Dåcta is organising a pecha kucha festival in May so that we PhD students can share our great research and ideas with each other.

If you’re keen to participate in the festival but don’t know how to make a pecha kucha presentation you can learn how to make one on the workshop on 20 April at 15-17! Sign up below.

The workshop will begin with a short presentation about what a pecha kucha is, then we’ll have some coffee together and start working on our own presentations. You will need to bring a computer with a presentation software (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint, LibreOffice Impress) to the workshop.
